Harrow Housing
David Kohn Architects was shortlisted to design a new housing development for Harrow Council. The design approach looked to optimise existing characteristics of the area, whilst highlighting local sights through specifically oriented openings in the apartments.
Surrounded on two sides by significant infrastructural arteries, a series a urban and architectural moves would act as a gateway, creating connections and thus repairing the existing separation of the site from the town centre. The design combined high quality homes with an urban garden and public amenities at ground floor, providing pleasurable residential spaces and an active public face.
