Housing design proposal for shared living.
The extraordinary site, between coastal mountains and the Tromsø fjord is a former aggregate wharf. The proposal begins with collecting the granite aggregate into a network of raised paths and fields. In their lee are clustered large shared houses of generous loft-like spaces with views over the fjord, reminiscent of local fishing warehouses. The houses and bunds together shelter gardens from the extremes of the local climate.
